Special Optics designs, develops and manufactures precision optical components from one facility located in Wharton, New Jersey. Since our beginning in 1965 we have developed and refined a wide range of optical fabrication and opto-mechanical assembly capabilities. As a result, we have evolved into a unique company, offering standard catalog optics along with custom designs, while continuing to focus on responding to customer needs quickly. In this light, our policy is to provide 24-hour turnaround on all quotations.

At Special Optics we emphasize "Special". By this, we mean that our products are high-quality, diffraction-limited optical systems. Since we design, manufacture and assemble the optical systems ourselves, we provide tight coordination between design and manufacturing tolerances and requirements, thereby assuring that the final system performance matches the initial design goals.
